Summer Youth Soccer – 8-Week Season

Join us for an exciting 8-week Summer Soccer season designed for children ages 3–12. This program focuses on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun and supportive environment.

Program Structure

All age groups will have:

• One weekday practice (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday — determined by the volunteer coach)

• One Saturday morning game

Practices will be held at the Janesville Youth Sports Complex from 5:30–6:30 PM and will run approximately 50–60 minutes.

For our youngest players (ages 3–4):

• Weekday practices will be 30–45 minutes

• Saturday games will be 30 minutes

Schedule Notes

Please note the following adjustments to the season schedule:

• No games on May 16 and May 23 (Memorial Day weekend)

• Practices will be held the week leading up to Memorial Day

• Regular practices will also take place the week of Memorial Day, including the Tuesday following the holiday

Communication

We use TeamSnap for all team communication and scheduling. Please ensure that your email address is accurate and up to date on both your account and your child’s account at the time of registration. Invitations and team details will be sent to the email address on file.

Volunteer Coaches Needed

This program relies on dedicated volunteer coaches to lead practices and coach games. Without volunteer support, the program may not be able to operate.

Volunteer coaches receive:

• A complimentary coach shirt

• The ability to select their team’s practice day

• A 50% discount on a future YMCA program

There will be a mandatory coaches meeting on May 7 at 5:30 PM at the Janesville YMCA to review expectations, roles, and league guidelines, and to finalize practice schedules.
